Not the greatest day
I did something wrong yesterday at the ole bookies yestderday, i said to some guy his bet was on when it wasn't (it won of course) then didn't tell him until he came up to collect his winnings; i should've told him straight away but i'm far to shy to shout across a busy shop (I was on my own you see)

I just followed the rules, gave him his money back and thought that was the end of it. I found out today that he'd lodged an official complaint with me because of it :(

Now i've been given the standard 'punishment' by the company, i've been turned into a relief cashier as of next week-ish, which means i've got to get my car taxed and insured as there's no way i'm going back to using the buses to commute >:(

This is really going to big into any christmas fund i thought i had, good thing i've already stealthily got a few things eh?

Needless to say other people in my family aren't impressed by the way the company has acted, it's so nice of them to jump to my defence like that :-)

I do this shit all the time at work.

Some lady turns up for her midwife's appointment, but the midwife has already left several hours before because she can't be bothered to scroll down the screen to see if anyone else is coming in that day.

But when I find this out, I'm so busy at reception I can't get a message to some lady only 3 meters away to say "Stop waiting, go home". So naturally they're pissed when they come enquiring about an hour later :/

My other problem is pissing off the nurses. Because the Drop-In nurse only sees specific emergency cases (generally Pill related), I have to ask patients (usually young girls as it's a surgery at DMU) if they're up the duff or need their pill. I mean, I don't feel totally comfortable asking these things anymore because most of the women won't tell you these things and act all shy - then I act embarrassed for asking - then I put them through to the nurse without a proper reason - and then the nurse gets stroppy at me for not properly asking these questions.

Here's a clue Ms Nurse. I'm a guy! Women don't generally like telling guys if they can have their smear tests back!!

Man I miss the hospital. I never dealt with patients, only doctors. Nurses were fish food back then, so I don't take kindly to them acting so important ¬_¬

*ends impromptu rant :P*
